Explorations Preparatory School (EPS)

EPS is a SACS-CASI accredited, private elementary school in Flower Mound, TX serving students from Pre-K through 5th grade. Through an innovative and challenging theme-based science and math centered curriculum, EPS students are encouraged to become creative, active and engaged learners and problem solvers. Our teachers go above and beyond to nurture and challenge our students while fostering a love of learning and self-discovery. Relationships develop in the classroom and extend into the entire school community, allowing for teachers, parents and students to know one another well. Because the ratio of students to teachers is small, all students are individually encouraged to achieve their highest potential – the sky is the limit! 

Going beyond traditional subjects, EPS students also gain global perspective and develop cultural sensitivity through our French and Spanish language programs. A keen sense of family and community is also nurtured through our many family oriented activities and various community events.

The Explorations Preparatory School (EPS) mission is to instill in students the joy of learning and accomplishment while providing the knowledge, skills and experiences needed to succeed in life.

Vision

With an emphasis on math, science and multilingual communication, EPS’ vision is to be a premier pre-K through 8th grade educational institution. EPS will achieve this vision by providing a well-rounded, world-class, theme-based curriculum, low student/teacher ratios and an emphasis on the importance of family involvement and “family time” in the education experience. EPS’ vision focuses the school on guiding students toward becoming creative, engaged and active learners with the ability and desire to reason, question and solve problems in school and in life. Going beyond academics, EPS places a high priority on character development and global responsibility, which includes actively facilitating and encouraging participation in humanitarian and environmental activities. EPS’ vision promotes a culture in which there is “No Child Left Unchallenged.”

Philosophy

At Explorations Preparatory School, we believe:
